About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. You will play a key role in the financial operations of Manassen Foods Group, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements. Acting as the 2IC to the Financial Controller, you will provide leadership in financial governance, reporting, and cost management while driving efficiencies across the finance function. This role requires strong expertise in inventory-based businesses, a proactive approach, and a positive can-do attitude.
This role is a 12-month parental leave cover contract.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Manage month-end reporting, expense analysis, and cost centre reports. Provide variance analysis and financial insights to support decision-making.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and expense outlook analysis to enhance financial planning and performance.
Governance & Compliance: Act as 2IC to the Financial Controller. Oversee balance sheet reviews, fixed assets, Capex, GST/BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT, audits, and regulatory compliance. Strengthen internal controls and risk management.
Process Improvement & Business Partnership: Drive process improvements, enhance financial efficiency, and build strong business partnerships. Lead ad-hoc financial projects to support growth.
Skills and Experience:
CPA/CA (Or equivalent)
Experience in an inventory-based company (wholesale, retail, or manufacturing).
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including to build relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Proven ability to work as an effective member of a diverse team, as well as the ability to exercise independence, sound judgement and initiative by applying critical thinking and lateral problem-solving skills in overcoming obstacles within tight timeframes.
