About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Commercial Analyst – Supply Chain to join our Finance team. In this role, you will have a desire to optimise Manassen’s Supply Chain, leveraging data and insights to enable decisions that drive efficiencies in our Supply Chain and optimize financial performance.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Warehouse, Distribution and COGS Analysis: Dive deep into our Supply Chain P&L to uncover trends, insights, and opportunities. Analyse performance metrics, forecast future COGS impacts, and provide actionable recommendations to drive savings and profitability.
  • Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making. Evaluate the financial impact of warehouse, distribution and COGS decisions.
  • Budget Management: Collaborate with the Supply Chain teams to create and manage budgets. Monitor and analyse budget variances, ensuring alignment with financial targets and business objectives.
  • Reporting & Insights: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management. Communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
  • Strategic Support: Partner with the Supply Chain team to evaluate new opportunities, assess market trends, and support strategic initiatives. Provide financial insights to shape Supply Chain strategies and tactics.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Marketing and Category, to ensure alignment and support cross-functional projects that drive business growth.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • CPA/CA (Or equivalent)
  • Experience in a Commercial Analyst role within FMCG or Retail
  • Experience in commercial partnership, preferably with a Supply Chain team
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including to build relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work as an effective member of a diverse team, as well as the ability to exercise independence, sound judgement and initiative by applying critical thinking and lateral problem-solving skills in overcoming obstacles within tight timeframes.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Motivated to own a process and accept accountability for performance
  • Have a keen eye for continuous improvement and the willingness to adapt as required.
