We thrive on a culture of collaboration and drive, where every team member plays a crucial role in shaping our success. We are looking for an agile and dynamic Warehouse Supervisor, to join our team supporting the management and growth of our National Distribution Centre.

Job Description

The role’s primary objective is to lead the warehouse and administration team and coordinate inventory management and effective distribution for all inbound and outbound products from the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Warehousing and distribution: Coordinate and administer all inbound product from local and overseas suppliers within quality, cost and service parameters. Optimise the utilisation of freight movement and build positive relationships with all freight providers. Manage all related reporting.
  • Leadership: Support and mentor the warehouse administration team by developing rapport, supporting ongoing training and development. Coordinate and implement improvements to warehouse processes and procedures. Participate in meetings with senior management from an overall warehouse and logistics perspective.
  • Customer service: Ensure delivery of agreed customer service levels by providing leadership based on collaboration to internal and external stakeholders
  • Operational management: Manage day to day associated operational issues ensuring activities are completed within required timeframes. Review all processes to ensure optimum and improved efficiencies through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Safety and quality: Promote, drive, support and encourage compliance on all safety procedures and safe work practices in the workplace minimising risks to employees, contractors, visitors. Ensure adherence to all food safety and quality standards.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a team leader/supervisor capacity in warehousing and distribution with exposure to all aspects of operations
  • Proven experience in transport administration and coordination in an FMCG environment is preferred
  • Experience in using and maintaining a warehouse management system with a high level understanding of supply chain management processes and best practices.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong management and leadership skills to lead a small team of professionals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including building relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work as an effective member of a diverse team, as well as the ability to exercise independence, sound judgement and initiative by applying critical thinking and lateral problem-solving skills in overcoming obstacles within tight timeframes.
  • Motivated to own a process and accept accountability for performance
  • Have a keen eye for continuous improvement and the willingness to adapt as required.
