Pacific Fresh is a citrus packing facility that lies within the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation area. We source a large variety of locally grown citrus accessed from our very own farms in the Riverina Region of NSW.

About the Role

We have recently created two new Assistant Supervisor roles, one on the Packing Line and one on the Processing Line.

These roles will report in to the respective Line Supervisor and are integral to maintaining seamless operations and ensuring on-time delivery of products.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supervising and leading the team to meet production targets efficiently.
  • Oversee workflow to ensure all operations adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Train and support new team members while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Perform regular equipment and machinery inspections, addressing issues promptly to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Quality Control and Maintenance to resolve operational challenges and plan daily processes effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production output, quality checks, and incidents during shifts.
  • Drive process improvements by implementing best practices for waste reduction, resource management, and operational efficiency.

Required experiences and skills

  • Exposure or experience in a team leader or supervisory role within a packing or production environment.
  • Ability to manage teams, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • Hands-on experience with inventory management systems and stock control processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly in food handling and processing.
  • Previous experience in training team members on operational procedures and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with fast-paced manufacturing environments, preferably within the food industry.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and sound decision-making under pressure.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams successfully.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and teamwork.
  • High attention to detail, with a consistent focus on quality control and process improvements.
