Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Account Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for the management of packed stock and the consignment of packed products to supermarket.
Responsibilities will include:
Assist with fruit trading and related activities consistent with agreed strategy and in compliance with all MFC policies.
Allocate packed stock to orders using MFC’s in-house inventory system.
Liaise with transport providers ensuring orders meet delivery deadlines.
Administer Logtec & Chep crate accounts.
Monitor the age of all packed stock and work with the Marketing team in minimising aged stock in cool storage.
Receive and administer product quality complaints in accordance with MFC’s claims policy.
Support the Marketing team to develop a market image and brand strategy for MFC and its goals.
Prepare and distribute the appropriate documentation that is produced within the marketing department
Spend time with the Grower Service team understanding the importance of good orchard practices and link between packer and MFCs highly valued growers.
Spend time with the Production team understanding MFC’s quality standards and the process of packing fruit ready for export and domestic markets in a world class packing establishment.
Skills and Experience
Knowledge of fruit industry is desirable
Genuine commitment to providing high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders and to maintain confidentiality
Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Well-developed problem-solving skills
Strong work ethic with a focus on results, willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities over time
Clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
Strong planning and organisation skills, with the demonstrated ability to prioritize fluctuating deadlines.
